Mental Health Day on the Hill

Every year the Mental Health Legislative Network (MHLN) holds a Mental Health Day on the Hill when mental health advocates come to learn the key issues, rally in the Capitol Rotunda and lobby their legislators. Free buses are offered from around the state. NAMI Minnesota is co-chair of the MHLN.  For the 2021 Legislative Session, this event will be held remotely on March 11.  See Mental Health Legislative Network 2021 Legislative Issues Booklet.

Join us on March 11, 2021 for Mental Health Day on the Hill

Make your voice heard! Join us for this year’s Mental Health Day on the Hill sponsored by the Mental Health Legislative Network. This year’s event will be a virtual one, held on Thursday, March 11, and kicking off at 9:00 a.m. with virtual messages, as well as an overview of current mental health policy and funding issues. After that, you will have a chance to meet with your legislators and share why mental health is important to you!

We are working to meet with as many legislators as possible that day, so please sign up in advance below so we can schedule a (virtual) appointment for you. Never met with your legislator before? No worries! We’ll set up the appointment, give you information about current issues, and even have a member of the Mental Health Legislative Network attend the meeting with you to help you out.  To attend, sign up here.

Thursdays at the Capitol

During the legislative session, NAMI members go to the State Capitol for one-minute conversations, lobbying with key members of the House and Senate. For more information, contact advocacy@namimn.org to learn more or sign up.
