Competency Restoration Task Force Seeks Applicants
Applications are now being accepted for the new Community Competency Restoration Task Force.
The 2019 legislature has created the Task Force to focus on civilly committed patients found incompetent to stand trial. The Community Competency Restoration Task Force will evaluate and study community competency restoration programs and develop recommendations to address the needs of individuals deemed incompetent to stand trial.
Please consider applying, and encouraging others to do so as well. The task force will be made up of about 25 people, including state leaders, law enforcement, mental health experts, and people with lived experience. To apply and for more information, visit the Minnesota Secretary of State website.
