Understanding Early Episode Psychosis For Professionals

Early identification is essential to improving outcomes for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Attendees will learn how to identify the warning signs of psychosis, talk to young people who may be experiencing symptoms, and review the latest treatment recommendations. This free class is recommended for school personnel, social workers, first responders, and mental health professionals. This class has been approved by the Board of Social Work, St. Paul, Minnesota (Approval #CEP-83) to provide 2 CEUs upon completion.

QPR – Question, Persuade, Refer

Learn the three steps anyone can take to help prevent suicide. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. QPR is the most widely taught gatekeeper training program in the United States, and more than one million adults have been trained in classroom settings in 48 states. This one-hour class is for members of the community over the age of 16 who want to learn best practices in suicide prevention. Taught by Caroline from NAMI Minnesota. Coping with Depression During the COVID-19 Global Pandemic

This webinar will focus on coping strategies that can be used to manage depression during the COVID-19 pandemic. The presenters will discuss behavioral, cognitive, and mindfulness-based techniques that research has found to be helpful for treating depression among adults, adolescents, and children. Strategies for the use of these interventions in the context of social distancing, quarantine, and uncertainty will be emphasized.
