NAMI Networking and CEUs – Depression: What’s in a Name?
NAMI Minnesota presents an informal webinar with Eduardo Colon Navarro, MD. Dr. Colon Navarro is the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Hennepin Health Systems. Born in Puerto Rico, he completed his studies at St. John’s University, in Collegeville, Minnesota, The University of Puerto Rico School Of Medicine, and his residency at the University of Minnesota, where he holds a position as Professor. His areas of interest center on Psychosomatics, and the interplay of medical and psychiatric illnesses. If you’re a mental health professional who is interested in learning more about the work of NAMI Minnesota and networking with other professionals who are newer to the field, this event is for you! The goal of this discussion will be to explore the nature and impact of clinical depression, as it relates to other conditions that cause distress- from its history to an overview of current approaches and treatments.
