NAMI at the State Fair
Mental Health Awareness Day at the State Fair on August 27
Join us at the Minnesota State Fair on August 27 in Dan Patch Park! For the first time ever, the Minnesota State Fair will have a dedicated day to focus on Mental Health Awareness. Visitors can explore mental health and wellness resources through inspiring stage performances, music, demonstrations, yoga, information, and much more. The event is free with fair admission and will be open from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
The State Fair provides a unique opportunity to educate a very large and diverse group of people about mental health and well-being, which is important for every Minnesotan. Led by the Minnesota State Advisory Council on Mental Health & Subcommittee on Children’s Mental Health and NAMI Minnesota, over 40 organizations will participate in the day’s activities. Find a full lineup of partners, activities, and stage entertainment, here.
Additionally, NAMI Minnesota will host a booth in the Education Building at the Minnesota State Fair for all 12 days of the fair (August 23rd through September 3rd) to educate the public about the many services that NAMI Minnesota provides to the community. Staff members and volunteers answer questions, provide resources, and host a spin-the-wheel contest with free giveaways!
